Station 4: Properties of Matter

Classify the liquids in order of increasing viscosity.

Procedure

  1. Drag the ball bearing horizontally to position it over cylinder A, B, or C.
  2. Click Drop Ball.
  3. Use the Stopwatch to measure the time it takes the ball to travel between the START MARK and END MARK.
  4. Record your times in the table below.
  5. Pull up the ball and repeat for the other liquids.
