We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy governs your use of our software applications ("Apps") and websites. It is drafted in strict compliance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, specifically Law No. 2010/012 of 21 December 2010 relating to cybersecurity and cybercriminality, and Law No. 2010/021 of 21 December 2010 governing electronic commerce.

To fulfill our mandate with the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC) and provide our services, we collect specific data types. The information we collect includes:

• Personal Identification Data: Name, Matricule Number, Date of Birth, Phone Number, and Email Address necessary for creating your unique digital profile.
• Professional & Academic Data: For teachers and staff: current posting, subject taught, and attendance records. For students: grades, class participation, and exam records.
• Geolocation Data: When using the NALINOV application for attendance logging, we collect precise GPS location data to validate your physical presence on school campuses.
• Device Information: We collect unique device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID), IP addresses, and operating system data to prevent fraud and ensure account security ("One Device Policy").
• Biometric Data (Where applicable): Facial images used strictly for "Liveness Detection" and identity verification to prevent impersonation.

3. Use of Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly for administrative, educational, and security purposes, including to:

• Validate Attendance: Verify teacher presence in classrooms using geolocation and timestamps in real-time.
• Educational Administration: Facilitate the digital "Cahier de Texte," track curriculum coverage, and manage student records.
• Security & Anti-Fraud: Detect and prevent "Mock Location" attacks, unauthorized device access, and identity theft.
• Service Improvement: Use anonymous analytics to improve the Distance Learning Centre's content and platform performance.
• Official Communication: Send administrative notifications, transfer updates, or official communiqués from MINESEC.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We respect the confidentiality of your data. However, your information may be disclosed in the following specific circumstances:

• Government Mandate: As the developer for the Ministry of Secondary Education, all data collected via the MINESEC NALINOV app is accessible to authorized Ministry officials (Principals, Regional Delegates, Central Services) for administrative oversight.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by Cameroonian law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
• Protection of Rights: To investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service, fraud, or cybersecurity threats as defined by Law No. 2010/012 of 21 December 2010.

5. Data Security and Sovereignty

We prioritize Data Sovereignty. All sensitive government and educational data is hosted on secure servers managed in compliance with Cameroonian national security standards.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. However, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
